JUST AN IDEA
FROM THE GOVERNOR
BECAUSE WE NEED YOUR HELP!

I know times are rough for all of us, but if every Member would just donate one dollar every month in addition to what you may already be donating, we would be out of debt in a short time.
There is a donation can on the bar in the Social Quarters for those who wish to donate.
How about it? We have 400 plus LOOM Members and the Women have a high Membership as well. That extra dollar from us all will greatly help us pay our high overhead costs that are now difficult to meet because of the lack of support from some.
Please consider this small request which will help us tremendously to achieve our goal, and keep our Lodge Home going so we can continue to support our Children at Mooseheart and our Seniors at Moosehaven. Last, but certainly not least, your support will also enable us to continue to be able to gather together at our Moose Home and enjoy the friendships that we have made through our Membership.
Thank You so much in advance for your continued support.

                                   Governor
                   ALUMINUM CANS
Please save your aluminum cans and bring them to the lodge. Norm Grudem or myself will take them and crush them. When we have a quantity of bags we will take them to the recycler. The funds will be turned in to the Lodge by check and used to help offset our overhead expenses.
A "SPECIAL THANK YOU" to Chapter #1141 for the generous donation of $1000.00. This donation is being applied to a new Freezer for our kitchen. We also received an anonymous donation of $1200.00 plus another $300.00 from Wes Pulkovnik.
Thank You for your continued support.

FROM THE GOVERNOR
This will be my last letter as your Governor this Moose Year. I am very proud of our Membership, making the sacrifices and donating to the various needs of our Lodge. You ALL make me proud to serve on your Board of Officers.
Thank You to the Ladies for your continued support, making lunches, dinners etc. Without your help we would be in dire need. Thanks to Helen, Laurie, Pandora and Fran. You all do so much.
We have a donation dinner scheduled for March 11th, 2012 for the Special Olympics, This is a great program that helps our our Special Needs Children. Please plan to attend this function, all proceeds go to that program.
In the works, we will also be putting on a fundraiser for the Nathan Adelson Hospice to help raise funds for a new facility here in Pahrump. Your generous support of these programs is greatly appreciated. Watch your Bulletin and Web Site for more information.
When I first joined this Fraternity thought as many, I'd be just a Member. Well that didn't happen. When I took my oath and realized what this Fraternity supports, Mooseheart, Moosehaven and serving our Community, I just couldn't stay at home. I got involved immediately serving as Sgt. At Arms in 1991, Then Prelate and finally Governor for the first time in 1993-1994 year. It has been a long and great run for me.I am very proud of my accomplishments, and hope to see others follow in my path. I now am Governor for the sixth time and our Board of Officers are doing our very best to maintain this Lodge. Personally I think we've done a good job.
There is a Governor's box (it's green) by the Meeting Room door. If you have any suggestions or donations I'll be happy to accept them and review the thoughts of our Membership with the Board of Officers.
Our Nominating Committee Meetings are coming up fast, please, if you would like to be a part of this fine Board, fill out a letter of intent for the Office you would like to hold. It is a rewarding experience.
I guess I will close for now, may the Supreme Being keep us all safe and healthy
                                                 Pilgrim Brother,
                                                 Jim Cornell
