Sometimes the Internet is really good for something. I read a lot of things on line and learn some interesting ideas and facts. I would like to share one that is very seldom learned until after the fact.
"Five things in life that you can not recover in a lifetime.
(1). The Stone...............After it is thrown..
(2). The Word...............After it is said...
(3). The Occasion.........After it is missed....
(4). The Time................After it is gone.......
(5). A Person................After they die..........
Just thought this might be nice to share with others as it is so true.
As this year begins to unfold it still seems to be that all of the negative items of the past continue to carry on. One of the worst enemies of any Fraternal Operation is simply gossip. This has been running rampid in our Lodge and Chapter for some time. The cure for this problem is to attend meetings and ask questions. Let us do our very best to overcome this issue and keep our Lodge and Chapter strong and healthy.
Changes in hours of operation are being made slowly to help curb the high overhead cost of operating the Lodge. Please try to understand that the financial pinch you feel at home also affects every facet of the business world. Let us all do our best to promote and preserve our efforts to support our children at Mooseheart and our Seniors at Moosehaven.
Don't forget we have Darts on Sunday afternoon starting at 2:00 PM. Come on out and enjoy a fun afternoon. We also have Darts on Tuesday evening starting at 6:00 PM. Both of these events are a lot of fun. Come down and cheer for your favorite players.
In looking forward, let us all meet the challenges of today with a strong positive attitude. If we do so we will always have positive results. If it appears to be dark, look up, there is a light up above to help guide our pathway.
Be sure to look at the bulletin boards in the Lodge to catch the new Membership Programs and Initiatives as well as the current activities posters. Be a proud Moose, Sponsor a Member today.
May God shed his Blessings on one and all.

I have a letter in the office signed by a Member addressing a very strong and viable complaint. It appears that we have some Members that like to talk about how much another Member spends in the Lodge or Social Quarters. This is very detrimental to the stability of our Lodge and Chapter. It does not matter the amount a Member spends, IT DOES MATTER THAT THEY CONTINUE TO PAY THEIR DUES!!!!!
Let us all be more attentive to the type of conversations at the bar in the Social Quarters. The way to defeat gossip is with a positive "ATTITUDE". Think before you condemn.
A "SPECIAL THANKS" to Chapter 1141 for your generous donation of $1000.00. This donation is being applied to the purchase of a new freezer for our kitchen which is badly needed. Thanks also to Wes Pulkovnik for donating $300.00 toward this project. We also received an antonymous donation of $1200.00
along with the $350.00 from the sale of cans. All we have left to pay is the sales tax. The freezer will be ordered on Monday. Thanks to everyone who put donations in the can in the Social Quarters.
